Socks are the most requested item at homeless shelters, and also one of the least donated.

At Solmate Socks, we know how important socks really are. They keep feet warm, protected, and comfortable, but they are often the first thing people throw away when they wear out. Because of this, shelters are usually well stocked with clothing and shoes, but often run short on socks.

For over 20 years, we have been donating socks to nonprofits across the US, including homeless shelters, family services organizations, and refugee centers. The need is constant, and we are proud to keep showing up in a small but meaningful way.

We partner with nonprofits to help get cozy, colorful socks to the people who need them most.

All socks are free. We just ask that organizations help cover shipping for our 50 lb boxes.

Each box holds around 200 to 300 pairs of factory seconds. They are unsorted but still totally wearable and ready for new feet.

If you are local to the Hickory, NC area, we are happy to coordinate an in-person pickup too.
